MEN NEEDED IN MASTERTON. Masterton’s fire-fighting services are short of men, both for normal and emergency services. . The Fire Brigade Superintendent, Mr T. B. Clark, said this morning that there were vacancies for six residential auxiliary firemen at the station. s to the emergency units, he stated that only four men were so far available for'the Emergency Fire Service. On the other hand, the E.P.S. volunteer unit was receiving instruction regularly and the men were taking great interest in their work. More men were wanted, however, for the Lansdowne area, where there was only one man available instead of eight.
