WEEKLY PAPER FOR TROOPS BEING PUBLISHED. SECOND WAR CORRESPONDENT APPOINTED. (By Telegraph—Press AssoeiaLion.) WELLINGTON, This Day The Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) announced today that the Prime Minister (Mi - Fraser), while in the Middle East, completed arrangements for the publication of a weekly newspaper, the “N.Z.E.F. Mail.”- which is now an accomplished fact. The paper will carry air mail news from New Zealand and a weekly news cablegram from the Director of Publicity. Mr Jones also announced that Lieutenant E. H. Halstead, Auckland, official archivist, is at present acting as Public Relations Officer. Warrant-Offi-cer E. M. McCormick, formerly editor of the Centennial publications, is now assistant archivist. Second-Lieutenant W. S. Jordan, formerly of the “Waikato Times" and “New Zealand Herald,” has been appointed second war correspondent, Second-Lieutenant Peter McIntyre, Dunedin, official artist; Sergeant H. G. Paton, formerly of .the “Auckland Star,” official photographer. Sergeant-Major M. Walker is also supplying news for Press agencies and newspapers. .
