INDOOR BASKETBALL (To the Editor). Sir,—May I use your valuable columns to enter a protest against the methods being adopted in the indoor basketball competition by those in authority, as instanced in their action in reversing the decision in the W.F.C.A. v State game last evening W.F.C.A. were heartily congratulated by all when declared the winners and. it is remarkable to find this morning that the decision proclaimed last evening has been reversed. It may be that the association have an explanation. I so I think those who support the game are entitled to hear it. —Yours, etc., SPORT. , ! Masterton, July 2. |
The Indoor Basketball Committee, in reply to the above letter, states that at the end of the game no result or score was given. The committee has decided to abide by the final score a; it appeared on the score sheet kept bx the official scorer: State Kitchenette 11, W.F.C.A. 10.
