RAID ON KIEL
MADE BY HEAVY BRITISH BOMBERS
SECOND DAYLIGHT ATTACK.
ONE AIRCRAFT REPORTED MISSING.
(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) RUGBY, June 30. It is officially stated that a second daylight attack on Germany was carried out by the R.A.F. today. Heavy bombers attacked the docks at Kiel. One of our aircraft is missing. EVENING SWEEP POWER STATION NEAR LENS DAMAGED. SIX ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) RUGBY, June 30. It is now known that in Monday evening’s sweep over Northern France, R.A.F. fighters destroyed six enemy aircraft. The R.A.F. bombers’ objective was a power station near Lens. Bombs were seen to burst in the centre of the target, which was soon enveloped in dense smoke. One of our fighters is missing.
