ARMS SHIPMENTS
AWAITED IN MIDDLE EAST. • GREAT SUPPLIES COMING FROM U.S.A. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. June 30. The Alexandria correspondent of the “Daily Express" says the arrival is awMted of 40 freighters laden with a big consignment, of arms from America. The times and places of arrival are unknown, but. it is stated that it will, not be long before- enormous quantities of supplies are unloaded in readiness to transport by train and lorry to British bases. Two representatives of the United States Maritime Commission have arrived to supervise the discharge of the cargoes.
