BY RANGITUMAU RESIDENTS. GIFTS OF WATCH AND WALLET. (“Times-Age” Special.) Proof of the esteem in which Leading Aircraftman John Duckett is held by the residents of Rangitumau was given on Wednesday night, when a social gathering was tendered him. The Rangitumau Hall was packed to the doors and, there was dancing till a late hour, the music for which was supplied by Mr J. West. In presenting a wrist- watch and a well-filled wallet to L/Ac. Duckett, Mr W. F. McLaren, on behalf of district residents, wished him good luck in his Air Force career. Mr D. Stuart endorsed the remarks of Mr McLaren, and L/Ac, Duckett, after suitably replying, was accorded musical honours.
