At least one Masterton youth called up in the recent ballot for service in the Territorials has had addressed to him through the post a statement sent out from Wellington, which is allegedly subversive. Action is being taken by the authorities, and anyone receiving a similar statement is asked to hand it to the police. Auckland Suburbs Seat.

A group of Labour supporters in the Auckland Suburbs electorate have nominated Mr J. Williams. Avondale, for selection as official candidate against the nomination of the sitting member since 1926, the Attorney-General, Mr Mason, and a ballot will be held to decide the issue. Mr Williams is secretary of the Auckland Suburbs Labour Representation Committee, and was campaign secretary for Mr Mason last election.
