The 20,000-ton ship was hit by two torpedoes. British warships are also assisting the advance in Syria by bombarding military objectives at strong points of resistance. One of the enemy destroyers was hit by torpedoes from naval aircraft. A successful attack was also made by naval aircraft on Beirut and Tripoli in Syria.
