OBITUARY
MRS MARY ANN BARR. The death occurred yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Church Street, of Mrs Mary Ann Barr, widow of the late Mr John Thomas Barr, in her 88th year. The late Mrs Barr was an old identity of the Wairarapa, where she had resided for the past sixty years. She arrived in Wellington with her husband in the sailing ship Wairoa and on her arrival took up her residence in Featherston, where she remained for 30 years. She then came to Mastertort, where she had lived for the last 30 years. She leaves a family of two sons, Messrs J. R. Barr and Geo. W. Barr, of Masterton, and two daughters, Mrs H. Hastings (Petone) and Mrs Goo. Hayne (Masterton), besides five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral took place this afternoon.
