NORWEGIAN TANKER
ATTACKED BY VICHY FORCES OFF WEST AFRICAN COAST. SHELLED & MACHINE-GUNNED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) RUGBY. June 16. It is authoritatively stated that on June 12 a Norwegian tanker was shelled by a Vichy shore battery oil' the Iles de Los (off the coast of French Guinea, in West Africa) and was also machine-gunned by Vichy aircraft.
