LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FURTHER SHOWERS. IMPROVEMENT TOMORROW. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Fresh but decreasing southerly to south-westerly wjnds. Further showers at first but weather becoming fair to fine by tomorrow; temperatures cold with severe frosts. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fine and cold. LOCAL REPORTS. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: Barograph 30.2; shade temperature, maximum 58.5. minimum 36.5, terrestial 32.1; sunshine 3 hours 55 minutes; rain 77 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 72 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
