CONSCRIPTION DEMANDED IN CANADA. OPPOSITION CRITICISES GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) OTTAWA. Juno 15. Parliament adjourned till November unless circumstances warrant an earlier meeting. In closing the discussion on the war Budget, the Opposition attacked the Government for the disappointing results of last month’s recruiting campaign. for which reason they demanded conscription, saying that little more than 10,000 men responded to an appeal for 32.000. The Defence Minister, Mr Ralston, replied that conscription would split the country from end to end.
