RAIDS ON BENGHAZI

HARBOUR AGAIN HEAVILY RAIDED ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED IN LIBYA. AS WELL AS 19 TRANSPORT VEHICLES. LONDON, June 15. On Friday night, for the second night in succession, the R.A.F. made heavy raids on Benghazi and on the aerodrome of Colato, on the island of Rhodes. A number of fires were started. Landing grounds in Libya were also bombed. Fighter pilots in daylight destroyed two enemy aircraft and severely damaged others. Nineteen enemy transport vehicles were destroyed in Libya. A Messerschmitt 110 was shot down. Cyprus had its second raid of the war on Friday. Bombs were dropped at a point on the southern coast but there was no damage and only one villager was hurl.
