FRICTION DENIED
SOVIET AND THE NAZIS BROADCAST FROM MOSCOW. NO DEMANDS OR NEGOTIATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 13. The Moscow radio denies that the Germans have made any demands on the Soviet and attributes propaganda suggesting such action to the enemies of Germany and Russia. An official statement says Ihe Germans have not presented any demands and therefore no negotiations have taken place. Germany, it is stated, is fulfilling the terms of the German-Soviet pact in the same way as the U.S.S.R. If any German troop movements were taking place near the frontier this must be attributed to other reasons, as they had nothing to do with Soviet-German relations. The Soviet was observing and intended to observe the terms of the German-Soviet Pact. Recent Soviet manoeuvres were concerned with the training of reserve units and for the checking up of the railway system. An earlier report from Ankara said it was expected there that Germany would present further economic demands to Moscow. A correspondent in Helsinki says that Germany has already made far-reaching demands on Russia. He was speaking to Berne, Switzerland, and his call was cut off at that point.
