A CONGENIAL TASK
FOR COLD DAYS. Those who have new ground to clear will find this a congenial task for cold days. Blackberries and other scrub should be cleared off first and burned. For stripping off rough grass an adze will be found useful. Burn all woody material. Rough turf should be buried one foot deep, provided it is free from couch grass and other perennial weeds. Otherwise it should be stacked in a heap to rot down.
