PATRIOTIC SOCIETY . CARD TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Patriotic Society’s gathering the first prizes in the card tournament were won by Mrs Hart and Mr Harman, Junr., and the consolation prizes by Mr Douglas Houlbrooke and Miss Mollie McManaway. Personal Items. Mrs Wright has returned from a visit to her sister in Auckland. Mi-s E. Lindegreen is spending a holiday in Wellington and Eketahuna. Mr and Mrs C. Thom. Weber, are the guests of Mr and Mrs Rog Houlbrooke. Mr Thom is acting as judge at the dog trials. Address on Mission Work. The Rev H. F. Ault, of Christchurch, visited Tiraumea this week and gave a very interesting address on mission work in India and China. He also showed several reels of film depicting the missioners at work in those countries. Mr Ault had been a missioner in India and China for some ' years. After the lecture a ladies’ committee served supper.
