ALUMINIUM STRIKE
SETTLEMENT IN UNITED STATES. WAGE INCREASES GRANTED. (Ev Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK. June 10. A strike of 6500 workers at five aluminium plants in Ohio which threatened widespread delay to aircraft production, has been settled, according to an announcement by the Federal Mediation Board. The workers were granted wage increases. The aviation factory strike at Los Angeles ended after the union announced that its demands for resumption had been met, including the withdrawal of the army.
