WEDDING
CLARKSON—WAINWRIGHT. The marriage took place at the Patea Methodist Church recently of Joyce, elder daughter of Mr A. E. Wainwright. Patea, and the late Mrs Wainwright, formerly of Masterton. to Francis Mortimer, second son of the late Mr and Mrs J. Clarkson. Patea. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn toned blooms by members of the Ladies’ Guild. The officiating minister was the Rev. AV. J. Henderson, and the organist was Miss J. Hogg, Masterton, aunt of the bride. The bride was escorted by her father, and was attired in a smart woollen suit of Indian penny. Her velour hat was in the same shade, and her accessories were brown. She carried a beautiful posy of autumn toned Howers. A reception was held in the Druids Hall, which was decorated in autumn tones. When Mr and Mrs Clarkson left on their honeymoon the latter was attired in a model frock of pale lavender, over which she wore a navy tailored coat. Her hat and accessories were also of navy. Their future home will be in Patea.
