Mrs C. Bidwill, of Featherston, is visiting Napier. Mrs L. J. Heayne, of Mangamutu. is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Nurse Pitt, of Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs J. A. Walsh, Pahiatua. Mrs W. Hanning. Kelburn, is the guest of Mrs C. M. Wright. Church Street. Masterton.
Mrs Eric Price, .who has been general secretary of the Y.W.C.A., in Singapore for the past three years, has returned to Auckland. Later she will go to Christchurch to act as general secretary of the branch of the association there. The death has occurred of Mrs Minnie Townsend, Hastings, who arrived in Hawke's Bay with the early pioneers. She was 71 years of age. She landed at Port Ahuriri with her parents and lived subsequently at Meeanee and Maraekakaho. settling in Hastings in the early 80's. She was a staunch member of the Methodist Church since her girlhood. During the Great War she assisted the Y.M.C.A.
