Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follows:— Grapes, Is lOd to 3s 9d a lb; passion fruit, 18s to 24s 6d a half case; grapefruit, N.Z., 8s to 12s 9d a bushel case; lemons, Meyer, 9s to 13s 6d a half case; Chinese gooseberries, 10s to 14s a half, case; tree tomatoes, 5s to 9s 6d a half case. Tomatoes, Hutt ripe, 6s to 9s a half case, Hutt round, 6s to 13s a half case; beans, hothouse, 9d to Is 4d a lb; greenpeas, choice, 40s to 65s 9d a sack; pumpkins, 2s to 9s a sack. Onions, 2s 6d to 10s 6d a cental bag; kumeras, 7s to 11s a sugar bag; sprouts, 9s to 15s a bushel case; cabbage, 4s to 7s a sack; cauliflowers, 9s to 16s 6d a sack; lettuce, Is to 7s 9d a case; silver beet 6d .to 2s 3d a case; marrows, 4s to 7s a case; spinach, 8s 6d to 13s 3d a case. Swedes, 4s to 9s a case; leeks, 5s to 9s 6d a case; parsnips, 8s to 13s 3d a case; beetroot, 4s 6d to 7s 6d a case; carrots, 3s 6d to 7s a case; celery, 2s 6d to 7s 6d a case; rhubarb, 8s to 14s a dozen bunches; potatoes, 8s to 12s a cwt.
