COSY THEATRE
“CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE.” Tonight there will be shown the “Charge of the Light Brigade,” a great story and tribute to British courage. Inspired by Tennyson’s immortal poem it has a particular significance today in that New Zealand soldiers are duplicating the heroic qualities of their ancestors. Every British subject has been inspired by the story of the immortal “600” and their famous charge in the face of overwhelming odds. The screen trembles under the thunder of the hoof-beats as riding recklessly, fighting desperately, the “Light Brigade” sweeps on and on plunging into the “mouth of hell” and winning a page of British glory that will live forever. A superb cast is headed by Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, David Niven, Donald Crisp and other great names. No Britisher can fail to thrill under its inspiration. Supporting featurettes include the latest Air Mail News and a convulsing cartoon, “Fish Tales.”
