MINISTRY OF INFORMATION OFFICIALS DIFFERENCES WITH FOREIGN OFFICE. CULMINATION EXPECTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, June 9. The -Daily Mail's" political correspondent says Sir Walter Monckton, Director-General of the Ministry of Information, and. Mr Cyril Radcliffe, De-puty-Director. contemplate handing their resignations to Mr Churchill. Differences have arisen between the Ministry and the Foreign. Office regarding the organisation of the British News Service to the United States. Sir Walter Monckton proposed several candidates whom he wished sent to America to assist Sir Gerald Campbell, who has assumed the position in Washington of Director-General cf the British Information Services. Apparently the Foreign Office objected to some of Sir Walter's nominees, resulting in the resignations. This is the culmination of a series of differences between the Ministry of Information and various Government departments.
