RUGBY FOOTBALL

WAIRARAPA UNION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fortnightly .meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union Management Committee was held on Monday evening. A vote of condolence was passed to the relatives of the late Mr V. Smith, of Masterton. A. Frew, of Featherston Club, was regraded from junior to third grade. A letter was received from the Wairarapa P. and A. Society advising that the ground rent had been reduced to £lO for the 1941 season. The Wellington Rugby Union wrote stating that August 16 would be a suitable date for a representative match between Wairarapa and Wellington. The date was agreed to. A. Habib, of Featherston Club was declared on the accident insurance fund of the Union. It was announced that a Rugby film would be shown in the Fire Brigade Hall on Friday. A supporter of the Wairarapa R.F.U. wrote forwarding a donation of £1 with the hope that other supporters would follow suit.
