TIRAUMEA
WOMEN’S DIVISION MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Thursday the Tiraumea branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union held its monthly meeting in the Tiraumea Hall, Mi's R. J. Harman Senr., presiding. Although the attendance was poor on account of the weather and bad roads, there was a good collection ot bags to be forwarded to the Red Cross Society and also enough gifts to make up two parcels for Tiraumea soldiers overseas. It was decided to keep a box for donations for comforts for prisoners of war. The flower competition was won by Mrs W. Wallis. Afternoon tea was served. Home Guard. During the weekend the Tiraumea Home Guard held a 4-hour parade. The Women's Auxiliary also paraded. Football. The Tiraumea football team defeated Pongaroa at Pongaroa on Saturday by 6 points to nil. Tries were scored by | S, Smith and F. Herbert. i
