TWO MORE OF BISMARCK’S SUPPLY SHIPS MAKING SIX IN ALL. ADMIRALTY REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 9. An Admiralty communique announces that two more of the Bismarck’s supply ships have been intercepted and sunk. EXTENDED HUNT FOLLOWING ON DISPOSAL OF BISMARCK. OCEANS COMBED FOR SUPPLY SHIPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 9. An Admiralty communique ‘ states: "As soon as it was known that the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen were endeavouring to break out to the Atlantic, it was assumed that the object was to attack our trade. Such an attack could not have been maintained for any considerable time unless replenishments of fuel were available from supply ships. Consequently an oceanwide search by all available cruisers and aircraft carriers was organised to cover the areas ‘in which the supply ships were likely to operate. These operations were successful and, in addition to three supply ships and one armed trawler announced on June 6 as sunk, two more enemy supply ships were intercepted and sunk. The operations of rounding up supply ships are continuing.
