RED CROSS SOCIETY MEETING OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the executive committee of the Red Cross Society Mrs Sharp presided over a good attendance. The executive had been very active and owing to the generosity of the public, the rooms are now furnished very attractively. It. has been decided to hold the weekly card parties and to devote the money to the prisoners of war fund. The hope was expressed that the residents would respond with their usual generosity to this appeal. Personal Items. Featherston radio listeners on ’Sunday morning were pleased to hear the voice of Norman Neill speaking in the Egyptian broadcast. He stated that he was fit and well. Pilot Officer Peter Wilson, who had been visiting Featherston, returned to Dannevirke on Saturday. Fourth Grade Football. In a fourth grade football match on Saturday Featherston defeated Dalefield by 12 points to 8.
