IN FURTHER AIR RAIDS ON ALEXANDRIA KING & QUEEN OF EGYPT VISIT CITY. ITALIAN PLANE SHOT DOWN. LONDON, June 8. The King and Queen of Egypt today visited Alexandria, which last night was again raided. It is feared that the casualties may be heavy. The raid lasted for six . hours. Many bombs were dropped I on the city and suburbs. An R.A.F. Middle East communique slates that during the night an enemy plane was shot down over Alexandria. Another message states that the R.A.F. intercepted and shot down an Italjan plane flying over Alexandria this afternoon, presumably attempting to survey the damage caused in last night's raid.
