RAIDS ON BENGHAZI

FIRES SEEN FIFTY MILES AWAY DERNA AERODROME BOMBED. ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED ON GROUND. LONDON, June- 8. A heavy attack was made by the R.A.F. on Benghazi last night. Fires were started which could be seen 5C miles away. The aerodrome and landing grounds at Dorna were also attacked and a number of enemy aircraft were destroyed on the ground. Fighters maintained protective patrols over shipping in the Mediterranean. No British aircraft are missing.
