Advice has been received that S/Sgt. S. H. Spicer, of Masterton, is safe and well in Egypt.

Mr and Mrs S. D. Munn, Renall Street, Masterton. have received word that their son, Cpl. S. J. Munn, has arrived safely in Egypt from Greece. The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, Minister of Health, will return to Wellington tomorrow from a visit' to the South Island.

Advice has been received by Mr H. Pickering, of Masterton, that his brother, Private J. Pickering, has safely returned to Egypt from Greece. The Hon. J. G. Barclay, Minister of Agriculture, left Wellington by the Limited express last night to open the Whakatane Show today. He expects to return to Wellington on Friday. Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs A. E. Clarke, of Mauriceville, that their third son. Pte. C. E. Clarke, is safe and well after the campaign in Greece.

Further advice has been received by Mr and Mrs Vivian Donald, of Lansdowne, to the effect that their son, Second-Lieut. Haddon Donald, has been wounded.

News has been received in Masterton of the death of Second-Lieut. Roderick Fell, of Wellington. He was killed in action in Crete on May 20. SecondLieut. Fell is well-known in Masterton and his many friends here will extend their deepest sympathy to his wife (nee Miss Norma Bunny). Sergeant Jack Broom, of Masterton. who is reported missing, was formerly a well known Wairarapa footballer. He was a member of the Red Star Club, playing for the juniors and later for the seniors as full-back. 'He was a Wairarapa junior representative and subsequently played full-back for the 1 Wairarapa seniors, giving an outstanding performance against Wellington at Wellington on one occasion.
