An Aii‘ Ministry communique states: “Coastal Command aircraft, on escort duly yesterday, drove off and damaged several enemy aircraft attempting; to attack shipping. One of these was shot clown into the sea by a Hudson plane, after a spirited contest. Two of our planes'are missing. “The Bomber Command, in daylight yesterday, continued its search for enemy coastal shipping, in the course of which a small supply ship was sighted and damaged. One of our planes is missing.

"Last night, despite bad weather a small force of tho Bomber Command bombed objectives in north-west Germany. Ono of our pianos is missing.
