Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as lows:--Grapes, 2s to 3s a lb.; passion fruit, 10s to 15s a half case; grapefruit, N.Z., Os to 16s a bushel case; lemons, Meyer, 13s to IGs a half case; Chinese gooseberries, 12s to 17s 9d a naif case; cape gooseberries, 5s to 5s 9d a half case; tree tomatoes, 5s Gd to 8s Cd a half case. Tomatoes, Hutt ripe, 5s 6d to 8s Gd a half case; Hutt round, 6s to 10s 9d a half case; beans, H.H., 7d to Is a lb.; green peas, choice, 20s to 40s a sack; pumpkins, 2s to 6s a sack; potatoes, 8s to 12s 6d cwt.; onions, 5s to 9s Gd a cental bag; kumeras, 8s to 14s a sugar bag; sprouts, 10s to 15s Gd a bushel case; cabbage, 3s 6d to 6s 9d a sack; cauliflowers. 12s to 17s 9d a sack. Lettuce. Is to 4s 6d a case; silver beet, Is to Is Gd a case; marrows, Is 6d to 3s 6d a case; spinach, 2s 6d to 7s Gd a case; swedes, 2s to 5s a case; leeks, 8s to 13s 6d a case; parsnips, 5s to 9s a case; beetroot.
