SCHOOL COMMITTEE EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the South Featherston School Committee’s fortnightly .euchre party and dance, the prize-winners were: Ladies: Mrs Worsley, 1; Miss I. Simmonds, 2. Men: Mr R. Jepsen, 1; Mr Mac Guinness, 2. The music for the dancing was supplied by Udy Brothers’ Orchestra, and an extra was played by Mr L. Macintosh. Mr Robertson carried out the duties of M.C. The aggregate prize resulted: —Ladies: Mrs Wilson, 1; Miss I. Simmonds, 2. Men: Mr R. Jepsen, 1; Mr Boyd, 2. Miniature Rifle Shooting. The scores in the South Featherston Miniature Rifle Club’s first competition were: —C. Bain, 98; A. Yule, 99; H. Jepsen, 99; A. Cross, 98; R. Burt, 96; Misses J. Burt, 99; M. Dick, 92. •Personal Items. Mr and Mrs H. W. Willis, South Featherston, have returned after a few days spent in Palmerston North. Mrs F. R. Burt, South Featherston, is spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs C. R. Sturm, Nuhaka.
Miss June White, Palmerston North, has returned home after having been the guest of her aunt, Mrs H. W. Willis.
