POSSIBILITY OF REMEDIES. RESOLUTIONS BEFORE WOMEN'f ? MEETING. A meeting of women was held in Masterton yesterday to consider certain social evils and the possibilities of their remedy. The meeting, which was called by a committee set. up by the Wairarapa Executive of the Women’s Division was presided over by Mrs K. Groves, president of the executive. The organisations represented were: Women’s Division, Women’s Institutes, Ladies’ Auxiliary of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, National Welfare League, W.C.T.U., Townswomen’s Guild, and • League of Mothers. A number of resolutions were passed and another meeting is to be held on June 11 to consider further motions. Following this meeting, it is intended to call an open meeting, to which all women interested are to be invited, and to put the resolutions before them.
