MISSING AIRMAN

SERGEANT PILOT E. J. KEAN. WELL-KNOWN IN MASTERTON. Sergeant Pilot E. J. Kean, R.N.Z. A.F., who is reported missing on air operations, is well-known in Masterton, where he resided for some years. For a period he was Masterton manager of Macduff's Ltd. He enlisted soon after the beginning of the war and left New Zealand at the beginning of this year, after having gained his wings at Wigram. In Masterton, where he was very popular with his many friends,' he was a member of the Masterton Tennis Club, the Mahunga Golf Club and the Old Boys’ Cricket Club. His mother resides in Christchurch.
