MAURICEVILLE

HOME GUARD PARADE (“Times-Age” Special.) A parade of the Home Guard was held on Monday evening. The East and West platoons took part in night manoeuvres. The officer commanding watched the progress of events, and after a fairly good showing of all concerned the men were given, advice .in regard to certain work. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs F. Scherf, formerly of Mauriceville, were guests of Mr and Mrs J. Duncan. Mr W. Donald returned to To Awamutu, after having been the guest of Mr and Mrs F. Tildcsley. The following local soldiers are visiting the district: Messrs R. McGovern. P. Condon, A. Kerr and J. Dick, of Hastwell.
