HESS ANNOYED
DEMANDING SPECIAL FOOD & COMFORTS. SAYS HE HAS PLENTY OF MONEY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 24. Herr Hess is now reported to be adopting a truculent attitude, insisting on treatment, in accordance with his high position in the Nazi Government, says the -Daily Telegraph.’ He is demanding special food and comforts, saying that he has plenty of money. His truculence is probably due to a gradual realisation that he is being treated strictly as a military prisoner. The Foreign Office official, Mr Ivone Kirkpatrick, who has been interviewing Hess, has returned to London and will make a comprehensive report for transmission to the Government.
