R.A.F. bombers continued their daylight attacks on enemy shipping off the coast of Holland. Two ships of 2,500 tons each’were hit and one is believed to have been sunk. The other was left on fire and listing. Other ships were bombed and machine-gunned. One British plane is missing from these operations. NAZI PLANES SHOT DOWN. Two German fighters were destroyed off the coast of Britain today by British fighters. Both were shot down into the sea. Only a few enemy aircraft were reported over Britain today and (here arc no reports of bombs having been dropped.
