COSY THEATRE
“THE BANK DICK." Screening finally tonight this delightful comedy with W. C. Fields at his best has captured all hearts. “THE LAMBETH WALK.” “The Lambeth Walk,” starring Lupino Lane, with Sally Gray and Seymour Hicks, will open tomorrow at the Cosy Theatre. It is one of the brightest musicals yet brought to the screen. Based on the Loud in stage success. “Me and My Girl," it moves fast from the beginning, and is full of broad humour, which never flags. Of course, the Lambeth Walk itself is the highlight of the show, and it is introduced in a sequence which captures the true spirit of the tune and dance that has pervaded every ballroom in the world. Lupino Lane, as the Cockney S.P. bootmaker, proves himself one of the best comedians in the world. Sally Gray, as his Lambeth girl friend, gives a polished performance. The associate feature, "Sky Murder," is the most exciting of al! the famous Nick Carter series and features Walter Pidgeon, Karen Verne and a grand cast.
