WEDDING
WELCH—PASCOE. The wedding took place in the Taranaki Street Methodist Church, Wellington, of Margaret Constance, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs S. G. Pascoe, Strathmore Park, Wellington ,and Laurence Albert, elder son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Welch. Mount Bruce, Masterton. The Rev. W. Parker officiated. The bride wore a gown of pearl satin with a yoke of coloured lace and featuring a long pointed train. Her veil of plain tulle was mounted on white camelias, and she carried a bouquet of cream roses and carnations. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Olga Pascoe, sister of the bride, and Miss Lois Welch, sister of the bridegroom, was also a bridsemaid. Both wore old world style frocks of maize waffle taffeta and carried shower bouquets of scarlet anemones, with headdresses to match.
After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Grand Hotel, when they were received by Mrs Pascoe and Mrs Welch.
When the bride left she wore a tailored suit of teal blue checks with a red fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom.
