GREAT LEVANTE'S REVUE. Embodying the acme of art in wizardry and its component essentials is the Great Levante, acclaimed widely for his masterly skill, who is to appear at the Opera House. Masterton, for one night only. Saturday, May 31, under the direction of J. C. Williamson Ltd., in his London success, “How’s Tricks?” a spectacular mystical revue. Believing that the modern trend demands variety in entertainment, Levante has linked his. magic creation with highly attractive revue acts embracing some of England's most famous artists. New tricks that are Levante's own inventions. and old magic modernised by him with new twists, keep the entertainment at a fast-moving pace throughout the brisk and varied programme. Sleight of hand tricks that puzzle the audience with their celerity and apparent ease are preliminary to an intriguing array of mechanical illusions. The varied programme includes several English variety acts, and graceful ballets in bright costumes performed by 32 supporting artists. The box plans for this unique attraction will cron on Wednesday next at Nimmo’s.
