SEVERE RATIONING
FOOD SCARCE IN JAPAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) TOKIO. May 22. A decree adds flour to the list of rationed articles, which include rice, charcoal and sugar. Vegetables are not rationed, but are becoming increasingly dealt Eggs and meat are difficult to obtain, and milk is available only to children. Butter is scarce. There are daily queues at the bread shops, and the supply is usually exhausted long before the demand is filled. Cigarettes are scarce.
