The Hon. W. Nash. Acting-Prime Minister, will return to Wellington tonight from Auckland. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan. Minister of Munitions and Supply, will return +o | Wellington from Auckland tomorrow I morning. , The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, Minister.of Health, left Wellington for Auckland by the Main Trunk express yesterday afternoon! Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs V. E. Donald, of Masterton, that their son, Second Lieut. Haddon Donald, who was with the New Zealand forces in Greece, was safe and well. At a gathering of the staff of Messrs J. Graham and Co., Ltd., at Masterton inis morning, Mr R. S. Graham, manager, made a presentation on. behalf of tne staff to Mr W. H. Trudgeon, who had been a member of the firm tor over twenty-two years, and who had now retired. J
Tne death occurred at his residence 1 in Auckland, says a Press Association message, of Mr George Gee, in his 100th year. Mr Gee, who celebrated his 99tn birthday last October, enjoyed excellent health up to about a month ago, except for impairment of his sight and hearing, and ne was able to Keep in touch with everyday affairs. Born in London, Mr Gee, at the age of 10, came to New Zealand with his parents in the snip Sir George Pollock, whicii arrived at .Lyttelton in 1851. Mr Gee was in business in Christchurch for some years, and later lived in Timaru and Dunedin before settling in Auckland in 1881. He is survived by two sons and three daughters. The death occurred in Palmerston North of Mr William Charles Turner. Born in 1861 in Melbourne, Air Turner came to New Zealand at an early age with his parents, the late Mr and Mrs James Turner, and landed at Wellington. In 1896 ai Masierton he married Miss Amy Amelia Haskell, daughter of tne late Mr and Mrs G. Haskell, of Masterion, after which they settled in Herbertville. Before retiring and going to live in Palmerstun North he was engaged in farming operations in the Pahiatua district. He leaves a widow, three sons (Ivlessrs G. W. Turner, Pahiatua, C. R. Turner, 2nd N.Z.E.F., and M. H. Turner, Weber), and four daughters (Mesdames J. Mildon, Dannevirke, J. Brown, Kohinhi, R. H. White, Palmerston North, and D. A. Burlace, Pahiatua).
