Forest fires are raging in the Laurentians and almost to the foot of the hills of the Rockies. Manitoba is the only province between Quebec and Alberta not reporting fires. Near Aylsham, north-east of Saskatchewan, attempts are being, made to move fifteen million feet of timber used for ammunition boxes. Large detachments of soldiers have joined the rangers fighting the flames.
