NEW FIELD OF RESEARCH OPENED. <Dy Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright i NEW YORK, May 15. Tiie National Foundation of Research on Infantile Paralysis disclosed that Dr. Albert Sabin has established the new theory that the poliomyelitis virus invades the human body through the mouth rather than the nose. The foundation said that this opens an entirely new field of infection research, which so far has baffled the medical world. Dn Sabin also pointed out that infantile paralysis lias frequently’followed tennis, swimming or walking in less than 24 hours, and the heavy exercise apparently converted a milder form of the disease into a more serious form. Persons exposed to infantile paralysis should avoid heavy exercise and guard against chills.
