WAR PRODUCTION
CONTENTION OVER PRIORITIES IN U.S.A. MR KNUDSEN’S DETERMINED STAND. I By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) NEW YORK. May 14. Mr Knudsen announced that ho is determined to resign his office as Director of Production Management if his hands are lied in the matter of priorities, reports the Washington correspondent of the Associated Press of America.
Mr Knudsen has taken the stand that he could not continue in the office of Production Management if someone else had authority to say what orders should be placed before others. To avert such a development, the Administration is throwing its full weight behind a move to reverse the decision of the House of Representatives on priorities and leave them in Mr Knudsen's hands.
