WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. MEETING IN CARTERTON LAST NIGHT. A meeting of the management committee of the Wairarapa Men's Hockey Association was held in Carterton last night. Mr S. Maloney presided. Apologies for absence wore received from Messrs M. Worsfold, S. Faulknor and R. Harrington. K. Ordish (Dalefield) was regraded from senior to junior owing to Dalefield not being able to field a senior team this season. Entries for the competitions were reported as follows: —Four senior teams, five junior teams and two third grade teams. The two third grade teams were placed in the junior competition and will play off in the third grade final at the end of the season for the Worsfold Cup. It was decided that if the King’s Birthday holiday (June 2) is held this year the 6-a-side ladies' and men’s combined tournament be held as usual. The secretary is to make the necessary arrangements as far as the men's association is concerned. The entry .fee for senior and junior men’s teams for the tournament were fixed at Is. and for third grade players at 6d. Trophies are to be purchased as usual. A vote of thanks was passed to the Odd Fellows’ Lodge for having entertained the Air Force team at its dance recently. The next management committee meeting will be held at Greytown.
