MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE. PAYMENT OF SUBSCRIPTIONS. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Dental Clinic Committee was held last evening, Mr E. G. Coddington presiding. There were also present Messrs Haybittie, Shaw, Gibbs, Chamberlain, Allan, Mrs Dagg and the secretary, Mr J. G. McFarlane. An apology for absence was received from Mr C. K. Long. Accounts amounting to £5l 16s 4d were passed. The report of the nurses, which was adopted, showed that the work completed during the month was: 680 fillings, 101 extractions, with 455 attendances. Owing to the prevalence of mumps and whooping cough many appointments' had been broken. The secretary advised that a satisfactory response from the town schools was being made in the payment of subscriptions, but with the exception of one or two of the country schools no payments had as yet been forthcoming from these schools.

The next meeting of the committee will be "held on Monday, June 9.
