LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS
POLLING NEXT SATURDAY. BOROUGH AND COUNTY CONTESTS. Local bod}’ elections will be held on Saturday in the Wairarapa, in common with other parts of New Zealand. In several districts no polls will be necessary. The Masterton Borough voting will take place for the return of eleven borough councillors and for three representatives on the Wairarapa Hospital Board. Elections are also necessary for the return of borough councillors at Martinborough, Eketahuna and Grey town. In county areas, polls are required for the West Riding of the Eketahuna County Council, and for the election ol three county representatives on the Tararaua Power Board; for the East Riding of Mauriceville County Council, and for the Wairarapa South County Council representative on the Wairarapa Power Board. An address bearing on the municipal elections in Masterton will be given this evening in the Municipal Social Hall by Mr C. R. Goudge, a candidate for the borough council.
