BROTHERS KILLED
MEMBERS OF EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
MASTERTON FAMILY'S GREAT LOSS.
Included in the latest N.Z.E.F. casualty list are the names of Driver Claude Nelson Adderson (killed in action) and Private Arthur Albert Adderson (died of wounds), son of Mr A. A. Adderson, 8 Devon Street, Masterton.
Driver C. N. Adderson, who was 25 years of age was born in England. He came to New Zealand with his parents at the age of seven years. He had resided in Masterton and was employed as an ambulance driver at the Masterton Hospital. Shortly after the outbreak of war he volunteered for overseas service. He left New Zealand, accompanied by his brother, with the First -Echelon. He was a member of the Masterton Fire Brigade. Private A. A. Adderson, who has died of wounds, enlisted in Masterton on September 12, the day voluntary enlistment opened. He left New Zealand with the Field Ambulance. He was employed at the Masterton Hospital as a porter. Both men were employees of the Hospital Board at the time of their enlistment.
