ENJOYABLE GATHERING

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE DANCE. There was a large attendance at the Masonic Hall, Masterton. on Saturday night when the St. John Ambulance Brigade held another of the series of popular dances in aid of the uniform fund. The floor was in excellent order. The music was supplied by Mr J. Barnes’s Rhythm Boys, and the duties of M.C. were capably carried out by the cadet superintendent, Mr C. S. McQuade. Mr C. Jackson played extras on his piano accordian. Novelty dances were held. The Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Miss L. Bishop partnered by Mr J. Whelan, and lucky spot quickstep by Miss M. Fulton and Mr W. Andersen. The. supper arrangements were in the hands of a capable committee. The singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem brought the gathering to a close.
